NB’s Green Agriculture Critic travels to Winnipeg to attend the National Farmers Union’s national Convention
Fredericton – New Brunswick’s Green agriculture critic and MLA for Kent-North, Kevin Arseneau, is attending the annual convention of the National Farmers Union, held this year in Winnipeg.
“I am attending this conference so that I can connect with farmers from across the country to talk about how to ensure that governments provide the necessary supports to ensure a strong and vibrant next generation of farmers,” says Arseneau. “New Brunswick has immense potential for agriculture, and government needs to be taking concrete actions to let that sector flourish for farms of all sizes.”
He will have sit down meetings with the NFU president, Katie Ward Chiasson and the NFU Youth.
Mr. Arseneau is paying for this trip out of his personal funds.
